Be a pioneer in joining Dr. Aaron’s Wright biomedical research group at the Department of Biology in Waco, TX, United States. We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate with expertise in Chemical Biology and/or Organic Chemistry. Dr. Wright’s group is dedicated to phenotype-driven studies of the gut microbiome and other complex biological systems, focusing on the synthesis and application of chemical probes. We are looking for individuals with a Ph.D. and a background in chemical biology or organic chemistry to contribute to our dynamic research environment.

Qualification:

  •  Candidates must have or be in pursuit of a PhD in chemical biology, organic chemistry, or a closely related field.
  •  Independent design and execution of experiments within the field of expertise.
  • Additional skills in areas such as application of chemical molecules/tools to biological systems, biochemistry, microbiology, protein expression, cell culture, cell biology, molecular biology, genetics, and/or functional assays are of interest.
  •  Ability to collaboratively develop novel ideas and methods for applications relevant to research programs.
