Description
The Department of Chemistry at the University of California, Riverside, invites applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar position in the Neary Research Group. The successful candidate will engage in cutting-edge research in organic and polymer chemistry, focusing on the design, synthesis, functionalization, and characterization of new polymers, with a particular emphasis on polyolefins, olefin metathesis, and depolymerizations.
Qualifications
- A Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer, or Materials Science completed by the time of employment
- Demonstrated track record of research accomplishments
- Desire to work in a team-driven environment
- Preferred: Experience in organic/polymer chemistry and/or organometallic catalysis
- Strong communication skills, leadership abilities, chemical hygiene/safety knowledge, and experience in student mentoring
