The Better Life Program for the African Rural Woman or BLPARW is a non-profit organisation which was initiated by the late Maryam Babangida, in September 1987 in Nigeria. She was the wife of former Military President of Nigeria, Ibrahim Babangida.

Role Overview

  • As a Research Documentation Officer, you will be responsible for managing and organizing all internal documents within our organization.
  • You will collaborate closely with various teams to streamline document management processes and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Your primary focus will be on ensuring that documents are accurately cataloged, easily accessible, and appropriately archived for future reference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and organize research documents, ensuring they are accurately labeled, stored, and easily retrievable.
  • Implement document management systems and tools to streamline document storage and retrieval processes.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with document management policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain documentation guidelines and standards to ensure consistency and quality across all documents.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in research documentation and implement improvements accordingly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g. Information Management, or a related discipline).
  • 10 years of experience in research documentation or a similar role.
  • Ability to gather and analyze information effectively to accurately document organization programs.
  • Proficiency in document management systems and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
